Had my birthday yesterday. Was a thoroughly crappy day: the drier didn't work, my computer wasn't working even after I spent about $200 to get it repaired, and I spent the whole day staring at the walls. Am glad it's over.
First day back to school. (didn't the summer semester just end?) Still haven't finished syllabi but should have time before first class. Getting paid more than expected since Calculus I is a 4 credit class.
Am planning a new fic that is both strangely shameful (in that it's a Harry Potter fic) and fun (since it's a crossover). Should have first part posted by tomorrow night.

And I also forgot derivation and integration of exponential thingies (e^x, etc.) - those are also important and you have to do them in a first year Calculus course. Logarithmic differentiation is alarmingly cool, but it's funny how nobody ever actually uses it.

Already back to school, I thought it doesn't start until after Labour Day, that's the Illinois schoolboard? Or just your school?
I got into U of T, and would be starting September the first, and am wicked nervous and feel unprepared. My Internet died with my computer for almost 2 months due to a hardware problem later discovered to be dust. So I didn't get to do the internet ferreting about U of T stuff until now.
What grade(year?) do you teach?

Wow, U of T. Sounds impressive. I'm sure you'll do just fine. And I teach College Algebra, Business Calculus, and Calulus I (which ironically has a lower number than business calc even though it's a harder class. go fig)

I signed up for an U of T summer mini course that teach you how to learn in university. It starts on Tuesday. Consequently earlier that day there is a student lunch, so I'll actually be meeting people. *nervous*
I think, I do find math interesting, but thanks to bad foundation have sucked at it starting high school. So it's pretty awesome all the math you can speak.(looks to user info).

I'm sure you'll do fine; you're very smart. And yeah, I know ALL about bad foundations in math. I still have to add with my fingers.
